Then hand thread the bigger piece into clean outer crank threads until it bottoms out on the arm. Be sure the inner piece is not touching yet. Snug the outer piece using a box wrench. Using your 8mm wrench, slowly start to unthread the small piece until it starts pulling the arm off of the spindle.
