It was designed based on the current FOX 36\/38 and RockShox ZEB models to address the problem of collision between the fender and fork crown at full compression, which many other fenders have.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is also stiffer and offers more tire clearance than the original design. It is stable enough for DH use at the highest level. The short version of the EVO Bolt-On is optimized to make the fender just long enough to provide the best protection in all but the most extreme conditions.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn return, it offers better torsional rigidity. A slightly implied spoiler improves splash protection.
